Tata Communications’ LiveBroadcast, powered by BitGravity, is a Flash-based streaming service for broadcasting TV quality live content on the Internet. The LiveBroadcast service eliminates the need for expensive hardware and proprietary software and does not require a special downloaded media player to view live content. LiveBroadcast is easy to deploy and streamlines necessary computers to a single device, a CPE, and has reduced system costs to less than half the cost of other installations.

Tata Communications has simplified and improved upon current system architectures and underlying streaming methodology. Tata Communications receives the source video feed into a preconfigured machine, referred to as a CPE. The CPE transcodes, compresses and sends the video stream via a proprietary protocol to the closest CDN Node and then multicasted to other CDN Nodes Globally enabling users to receive the stream in HTTP.

The services comes up with a full set of audience and performance measuring tools through a straight forward web analytics dashboard, which is also used to control the Live video feeds.
